Realm & Companion is a single copy-paste prompt, shared publicly on GitHub by a developer named Quantisan and tuned for Gemini 1.5 Pro. Character creation is three quick picks — a realm, a character type, and a companion creature — each with random suggestions if you don’t want to decide yourself. From there, Gemini narrates a main quest, drops in NPCs, objects, and side content, and hands you four choices every turn, deliberately mixing the expected with the unexpected. It also tracks a loose moral alignment, so playing a villain or a morally grey character is explicitly on the table rather than sanded off.
That’s the whole game. There’s no reference document, no stat sheet, no combat system beyond narration — just a well-worded instruction set doing what a prompt can do and nothing more. It runs, it’s coherent for a session, and the alignment angle is a nice touch, but there’s no depth underneath the surface once the novelty of the four-choice format wears off.
The four-choice turn format and alignment tracking give it marginally more shape than a bare freeform prompt, but not enough to stand out — Signature Design — 1, for a simple prompt doing a simple thing competently. A free prompt, paste it into Gemini and play. 1.9 out of 5.
