You play a Strider — a free wanderer with no lord and no nation — roaming a world split across three overlapping layers of reality, taking work from factions who will hire you or hunt you, and building relationships with companions who pursue their own lives in the background.
Combat is dice-free: success depends entirely on your skill tier, the intelligence of your tactic, and what you prepared beforehand.
