The Arcanum Badge

If your platform is in the Arcanum directory, this badge is yours to use. It costs nothing, it asks nothing in return, and it links to your own entry on this site.

We built it because a reader who lands on your site has no way of knowing an independent site has played your platform and written it up. The badge says that, and the link lets them go and read it for themselves. It carries no score and no ranking — it points at the page, and the page speaks for itself.

Every platform in the directory can use it, including the ones still in beta or pre-release. There is no score you have to reach and nothing to apply for.

Get your code

Pick your platform and a size. The only thing that changes between platforms is the link address — it points at your own entry in the directory, which is the same page you reach by clicking your platform on the reviews list.

Every size stays sharp on high-density screens, because the file is larger than the size it is drawn at. If none of them fits your layout, change the width in the style attribute to any number you like — the image keeps its shape on its own.

The image files

Linking straight to the image on our server is the option we'd suggest, because if we ever redraw the badge yours updates with it and you never have to think about it again. If you'd rather host it yourself, both files are here to take.

The only conditions

• Link it to your own entry. The badge should always take a reader to the page about your platform, not to our homepage.
• Don't alter the artwork. Resize it freely; don't recolour it, crop it, add to it, or rebuild it as text.
• If your entry ever comes down, take it down too. We'll tell you if that happens.
