The Chronicler is a persistent, relationship-driven text RPG built for Claude Projects. You play the Wayfinder — every word and action is yours alone — while a cast of companions pursues their own goals, builds or breaks trust with you on their own terms, and takes independent action in the world when the momentum stalls. There are no affection meters, no romance unlocks. The RomanceCronos engine, loaded as a knowledge file, governs attraction, trust, intimacy, and withdrawal through behavior and consistency alone.

Two files do all the work: the master prompt sets the game’s laws and hidden tracking systems, and RomanceCronos is the dedicated relationship rulebook the engine consults for every interpersonal beat. Load both into a Claude Project and the system runs across every conversation in it — long campaigns, persistent companions, and a world that keeps moving whether or not you do.
